Becky has a Bachelor’s Degree in Ag Economics from the University of Illinois and has served as a Legal Assistant for Whitney & Potts, Ltd. for over 20 years.

Becky and her husband Bill have three sons: Blake, Case and Dane. They reside in Knox County where her husband raises row crops and cattle. In her spare time, Becky enjoys watching her children play football and baseball, and showing cattle. Becky is currently the 4-H Leader for Union 4-H Club and a Director of the Knoxville Athletic Booster Club. Becky and Bill are members of the Outstanding Farmers of America Fraternity, Knox County Cattleman’s Association, Knox County Farm Bureau and St. James Catholic Church in Williamsfield.


Cori Martin

Residential Real Estate Paralegal


Cori has been with Whitney & Potts for 15 years. Cori started as a legal secretary and decided to attend School at Illinois Central College to obtain her Associates Degree. She graduated from Illinois Central College in May of 2013 with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science with a Certificate in Paralegal Studies.

Cori and her husband Jeremy have been residents of Elmwood for over 20 years. Both graduated from Elmwood High School. Cori and Jeremy were married in May of 2014. They had their first child, a son, Brady, in December 2015, and their second child, a daughter, Allie, in August 2018. Cori enjoys spending time with her family, reading mystery novels, watching football and being outdoors.


Gayla M. Potts

Office Manager


She joined the Whitney & Potts, Ltd. family in 1987 following the death of George Whitney to handle general office matters and bookkeeping for the business.

Gayla moved around the country numerous times growing up and graduated from Streator Township High School in 1967. Majoring in English Education at the University of Illinois, she met Robert Potts. They were married in 1970, have four children, eight grandchildren, and live on a farm north of Dahinda, Illinois where they raise row crops and angus cattle. In her free time, she attends a multitude of sports, music and agricultural events and enjoys sewing and gardening.
